Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullah,
My sister-in-law started having mental health issues after the birth of her second child 3 years back. She benefited from medications at the time but now, after her third child (which she insisted on having), her symptoms are different and medication is not helping any more. Currently, her main problem is hearing voices that don’t leave her. She is now convinced that it is Shaytan/jinn that are bothering her and recently started refusing further medication. She has also started breast feeding her baby boy, which we fear might be harmful for the child. She is a practising Muslimah and medically trained by profession, was working on her Tajweed but says that she can’t concentrate in class anymore and keeps on bathing/doing wudu because the voices are making her ‘dirty’.

Follow medical advice. Give charity/sadaqa on her behalf daily even small. Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for her in sha Allah. May Allah grant her shifa.
